2026 -- 2027 REAL PROPERTY TAX BILLS
HONOLULU -- The City and County of Honolulu reminds property owners that the first installment of real property taxes for the 2026--2027 tax year is due Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Tax bills have been mailed to property owners or to the respective agents servicing their accounts.
Payment options:
Property owners may make payments using the following methods:
- In person at the Division of Treasury: Payments may be made at 530 South King Street, Room 115, Monday through Friday from 7:50 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The office accepts cash, checks, and MasterCard or Visa credit/debit cards. A convenience fee applies to credit/debit card transactions.
- Online or by phone: Payments may be made by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, or JCB) or electronic check at http://www.rphnlpay.com, or by calling 808-825-6819. Online and telephone payments are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A convenience fee charged by the service provider, eHawaii.gov Payments, a Tyler Technologies company, will be included at the time of payment confirmation.
- Satellite City Halls: During the first-installment payment period from July 20 through August 20, payments are accepted at all Satellite City Halls except Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The original tax bill must accompany payment. Accepted forms of payment include checks, money orders, official/certified bank checks, and credit/debit cards, which are subject to a convenience fee. Taxpayers may pay up to five real property tax parcels per transaction. Visit www.honolulu.gov/csd/satellite-city-hall/ for satellite city hall locations and hours of operation.
Paying by Check
Checks must have the account holder's name and bank account number imprinted on them. Property owners should also write the Tax Map Key (TMK) on the check. Checks that do not meet these requirements may be returned, resulting in late penalties and interest. A $25 returned-item fee will be charged for dishonored checks.
Didn't receive your tax bill?
Property owners who pay their real property taxes directly and have not received a bill should check the status of their account immediately by:
Visiting Honolulu Property Tax
Emailing bfstreasmailbox@honolulu.gov
Calling 808-768-3980
Property owners are reminded that not receiving a tax bill does not excuse late payment. Failure to pay real property taxes by the due date may result in a penalty of up to 10%, plus interest at a rate of 12% per year.
The minimum real property tax for the 2026--2027 tax year is $300.
