There's still space to sign-up for our comprehensive, discounted lifeguard training course at Makakilo Neighborhood Park!

The course is scheduled from March 16 - 20, 2026, with registration online at:

Obtain vital emergency response certification to qualify for part-time employment at City park pools, while learning amazing lifesaving skills!

Our pool lifeguards are paid upwards of $19.23 an hour, and get to take part in some of our rewarding programs like Summer Fun.

Some of the details for this American Red Cross blended online training include:

- CPR / AED / First Aid certification
- Valid for 2 years
- Must be at least 15 years-old
- Training takes only 5 days!
- Swimming / physical requirements
