Honolulu Zoo launches new online ticketing system

HONOLULU -- The Honolulu Zoo is excited to announce the launch of its first-ever state-of-the-art digital ticketing system, beginning Saturday, November 1, 2025. This new system will make it easier for guests to purchase tickets in advance and enjoy a smoother experience upon arrival.

The digital platform is designed to enhance the guest experience by reducing wait times at the entrance and supporting the zoo's ongoing sustainability efforts. Visitors can show their digital tickets on a mobile device for quick, easy entry.

This upgrade is made possible through a new partnership between the City and County of Honolulu and Service Systems Associates (SSA) Group, the zoo's long-time concessionaire.

"As long-time partners of the Honolulu Zoo, we're proud to help bring their digital ticketing system to life," said Sean McNicholas, CEO of SSA Group. "It's a meaningful step in creating a smoother, more welcoming hospitality experience for every guest."

Guests will still be able to purchase tickets in person at the front gate.

"This is a big step for us in making visits to the Honolulu Zoo more seamless and convenient," said Jacqueline Peeler, the Assistant Director at the Honolulu Zoo. "We're excited to step into this new chapter at the zoo and can't wait to enhance the guest experience in the years to come."

Digital tickets will be available starting Saturday, November 1, at honoluluzoo.org.
