Mayor Blangiardi announces dates for second annual town hall meeting tour across Oʻahu

HONOLULU -- Mayor Rick Blangiardi is pleased to announce the full calendar for his second annual tour of town hall meetings across Oʻahu, continuing the tradition of community engagement and dialogue initiated last year.

Beginning Thursday, March 21, residents from various communities across the City and County of Honolulu are invited to participate in a series of 11 town hall meetings, where they will have the opportunity to interact directly with Mayor Blangiardi and key City officials.

The town hall meetings serve as a platform for residents to voice their concerns, ask questions regarding the City's priorities, and receive updates on upcoming projects specific to their neighborhoods. Mayor Blangiardi, along with representatives from over 25 City departments and agencies, will be in attendance at all meetings.

"Our first year of town halls was a journey of learning, and I am excited to continue this important dialogue with our residents," said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. "These meetings provide us with invaluable insights into the needs and aspirations of our communities, and I look forward to listening, engaging, and collaborating with our fellow residents once again."

The schedule for the upcoming town hall meetings is as follows:

Meeting #1: Kapolei, ʻEwa Beach, Makakilo Date: Thursday, March 21, 2024 Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Kapolei High School

Meeting #2: Kailua, Kāneʻohe, Waimānalo Date: Thursday, March 28, 2024 Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Kailua Intermediate School

Meeting #3: Salt Lake, ‘Aiea, Pearl City
Date: Thursday, April 4, 2024 Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Salt Lake District Park Gymnasium

Meeting #4: Wahiawa, Mililani, Mililani Mauka Date: Thursday, April 11, 2024 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Wahiawa Elementary

Meeting #5: Downtown, Chinatown, Kalihi
Date: Thursday, April 18, 2024
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Keʻelikōlani Middle School

Meeting #6: Mānoa, Urban Honolulu, Waikīkī
Date: Thursday, April 25, 2024
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Mānoa District Park Gymnasium

Meeting #7: Nānākuli, Waiʻanae, Mākaha Date: Thursday, May 2, 2024 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Nānāikapono Elementary

Meeting #8: Waialua, Haleʻiwa, Pūpūkea Date: Thursday, May 16, 2024 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Waialua Elementary School

Meeting #9: Hawaiʻi Kai, Kahala, East Honolulu
Date: Thursday, May 23, 2024
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Koko Head District Park Gymnasium

Meeting #10: Hauʻula, Kahuku, Lāʻie Date: Thursday, May 30, 2024 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Hau‘ula Elementary School

Meeting #11: Waipi‘o, Waikele, Waipahū
Date: Thursday, June 6, 2024 Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Kanoelani Elementary School

There will be no town hall meeting on Thursday May 9, 2024.

Each town hall will feature an open question-and-answer session, providing residents with the opportunity to directly interact with Mayor Blangiardi and other City department leaders. The administration encourages active participation from the public, welcoming suggestions on ways to enhance the City's services and address community concerns.

As the first meeting date approaches, additional information about the town hall meetings will be available on the official website at www.honolulu.gov/mayor.
