Hawaii Kai Lions Club volunteers patching sidewalks during a previous project

HONOLULU – On
Saturday, January 20, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., members of the Hawai‘i Kai Lions Club will inspect and patch concrete sidewalk hazards along Kealahou Street, between Hawai‘i Kai Drive and Mokuhano Street, as part of the District 50 Lions’ Safe Sidewalks initiative. This project is being performed under the coordination of the City’s Mālama O Ka ‘Āina community volunteer program, which is administered by the Department of Facility Maintenance, Division of Road Maintenance (DRM).

The City is grateful to the members of the Hawai‘i Kai Lions Club for their time and resources. These volunteers provide a much-needed service to the City by assisting to create a safer experience for the many people who frequently use the sidewalks.
