“You know, it's about execution. It's about looking at this, it's about understanding problems. It's about trying to solve wicked problems, difficult problems,” said Mayor Blangiardi. “So, we're going after it. It should have been done a long time ago. There's really been no roadmap for that. This place is full of plans that never were, bookshelves lined with things that were beautifully written, well thought-out, heartened, well-intentioned people, hard work that just never happened. We're going to try to make may make things materialize.”

As revealed in Episode 1 of The One Oʻahu Podcast, Mayor Blangiardi will deliver his 3rd State of the City Address on March 14th at 11 a.m. He called this year’s speech a “challenge,” where he will acknowledge what has been accomplished up to this point by his Administration, but more importantly, lay out what the public can expect on the road ahead (13:20).

to announce details on an upcoming series of town hall meetings in communities across Oʻahu. The meetings are slated to begin the week after the mayor’s State of the City address, with the first two scheduled for March 21 and March 23, then one per week for the next nine weeks. The schedule for those meetings will be announced shortly and includes locations in each district across O‘ahu.

Directors and deputy directors from City departments will be joining the mayor to discuss the City’s plans as they relate to each district and take questions from the public (20:33).
