TICKETS ON SALE FOR OʻAHU FRINGE FESTIVAL’S ‘DANCING ON THE FRINGE,’ A CELEBRATION OF DANCE, AT DOWNTOWN ART CENTER, MARCH 24-26, 2022
 
HONOLULU (March 2022) – Oʻahu Fringe Festival, in partnership with Downtown Art Center at 1041 Nuʻuanu Ave., Second Floor, is proud to present Dancing on the Fringe, an eclectic three-day dance celebration of various styles of dance, from modern to cultural fusion dances from around the world, Thursday March 24, Friday March 25, and Saturday March 26, in Downtown Art Center's second floor Exhibition Space. Ticket prices per show are $15 General Admission and $10 Students and Seniors. Ticket links and more information can be found at oahufringe.com.

A wide variety of dance groups and solo artists will be showcased at this event:
 

Piko Dance Arts featuring Giinko Marischino, Jhalak Dance Company, and StRaNgE FrUiT XPrEsS (contemporary dance)
Mareva Minerbi and Madelyn Biven (contemporary dance)
electroViolet (contemporary dance)
Convergence Dance Theatre (contemporary dance)
Divino Ritmo Dance (ballroom dance)
Sewa Faré West African Dance & Drum Group
Shakti Dance Movement (belly dance)
Lilikoi Dance (belly dance)
Sai Bhatawadekar and the UH Manoa Bollywood Dancers
 
In addition, each night will offer an hourlong Screendance showcase of short films and video media created by dancers during the COVID pandemic. Showings will be the same on all nights.

Individual tickets are
$15 General Admission per show, or $10 for Students and Seniors per show. All-Night tickets for Friday and Saturday, and a 3-Day All Access Pass are also available for sale, with discounts for students and seniors.
 
To fuel performers and the audience,
Cool Beans Coffee will be on site to provide mobile coffee services. Cool Beans serves artisan cold brew made with Waialua coffee, along with an assortment of locally made sweet treats and snacks.

As an-all volunteer-organized Fringe Festival, our mission is to promote the development of original work in the performing arts, and to present a provocative multicultural arts festival unique to Hawai’i, showcasing emerging and professional artists in theatre, music, dance and all performance- related art. The O’ahu Fringe Festival, which premiered November 10-12, 2011, brings artists, audiences and the community together in Chinatown, Honolulu. We have welcomed artists from the Hawaiian Islands, New York, California, Chicago, Seattle, and beyond. We do this for the love of the arts and to contribute to the artistic landscape, to make Hawai’i a Fringe Festival destination, where the community and artists celebrate the arts together.
