Holiday Make & Take Crafting Workshops
Saturday, December 4: Holiday Crafting Workshop with Robyn Malczon & Su Atta

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

: Downtown Art Center Courtyard Room
Tuition: $20
Materials provided.
In this fun holiday craft workshop, participants will be guided through making two festive projects, with local artists Robyn Malczon (known for her magical pop-up paper cards) and artist/arts educator Su Atta. Come join in on the fun!

Saturday, December 11: Holiday Crafting Workshop: 2 Elves, 2 Hours 2 Create, with Fae Yamaguchi and Lauren Okano
 
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Downtown Art Center Courtyard Room, 2nd floor
Tuition: $20
Materials provided.

We know that you’ve always yearned to be an elf. Now’s your chance!
Become one of Santa’s holiday helpers, and create festive holiday ornaments with head elves/local artists Lauren Okano and Fae Yamaguchi. Participants will use a variety of mediums to create personalized ornaments in this fun holiday workshop.

Making Art for Art's Sake Saturday Classes

Saturdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. 
Tuition: $20 per each session

Let your creative spark loose. Release your inner artist! Come play, and make art with an open mind, free spirit, and sense of fun!
Participate in a workshop format, in which students will be given a new project designed to stimulate creativity each session. Limit 10 students per class.
Teacher schedule for December 2021:
1st Saturday: Jimmy Tablante (painting)
2nd Saturday: Dwayne Adams (watercolor)
3rd Saturday: TBA
4th Saturday: CHRISTMAS! No class this day.

DAC THE HALLS
A HOLIDAY INVITATIONAL ART EXHIBITION

On Display December 1-31
 
December’s show,
DAC the Halls, is an invitational exhibition curated by Gina Bacon-Kerr, featuring over 15 respected, proven, professional local artists whose work is sought after in Hawaiʻi and beyond, including George Woollard, Susanne Wolfe, Yvonne Cheng, Maile Yawata, Anne Irons, Noreen Naughton, Jodi Endicott, and more.
 
In addition to the main second floor gallery show, this invitational will also take over the DAC second floor Performance Space with The Unframed Gallery, a show featuring unframed work and art prints.  The public may view both shows for free Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
