City re-opens comfort station near Kapi‘olani Community College

The comfort station on Diamond Head Road at Kapi‘olani Community College

Mayor Rick Blangiardi is pleased to announce the re-opening of the comfort station on Diamond Head Road at Kapi‘olani Community College, which is an integral part of the Waialae-Kahala Bicycle Hub and Transit Center. The heavily used comfort station was closed in early 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns and then remained closed for much needed repairs.

The facility is located next to the parking lot which hosts the popular KCC Farmer’s Market on Saturdays from 7:30-11:00 a.m. The farmer’s market recently re-opened on September 25th.

The City departments of Facility Maintenance, Parks and Recreation, and Transportation Services are teaming up with O‘ahu Transit Services to again make the facility available for community use in the area which includes bike/walking paths around Diamond Head. The comfort station restrooms will be open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
