City park pools returning to regular lap swim procedures

O‘AHU -- Beginning today, Thursday, July 1, COVID-19 restrictions on lap swim will be removed from all City park pools. This includes restoring the regular amount of lanes per pool and walk-in, first-come-first-served public access.

To accommodate their unique and diverse communities, each pool operates under their own schedule. During our popular Summer Fun Program, many of these pools are utilized by the program keiki and are closed to the public during that time. This normally occurs on weekdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., until the program is finished on July 27.

Restoration of further pool activities is being discussed, and will be communicated when they are confirmed.

Interested in an amazing part-time job working outdoors that pays well above minimum wage? Becoming a City pool lifeguard may be perfect for you! Starting pay is $16.25 an hour, with positions available for applicants 16-years and older at pools across O‘ahu. Call the pool where you are interested in working for more information.
