What: Collage and Clay

Where: The ARTS at Marks Garage • 1159 Nu'uanu Ave

Artist Reception : June 4, first Friday 4-8pm

The ARTS at Marks Garage presents Collage and Clay, featuring the works of 15 local artists.

This exhibit showcases the fine collages, ceramics, and mixed media pieces created by a fun group of artists who meet twice a month (pre-COVID) at Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe.
 
Susan Rogers-Aregger led this group for many years and sadly passed away a couple of years ago.  To honor Susan’s memory, we continue to meet and create.  We call ourselves the SRA Gals and have been passing along Susan’s wisdom and love of this medium.

The featured image above is by Faye Maeshiro entitled GOURD - is a collage of encaustic on a raku ceramic vase, with wire and a driftwood handle. The mixed media, colors and texture are a stunning combination.


  
This lobster claw heliconia interpretation by Joy Ritchey titiled Hanging Heliconia  is an 18x24 Collage made of hand-dyed tissue paper - even more beautiful in person.

June 4-  Musical concert with Kiana Luna at 6pm and GWA at 7:30pm will be in the black box theater. A $10 donation to The ARTS gets you in the door.

June 5 - We have "PRIDE: RAINBOWS, WIGS AND HEELS DRAG SHOW" celebrating our rainbow of individuals!

 June 18 - A BURLESQUE TRIBUTE TO SUGAR DADDY

June  19 - ANYTHING FOR DADDY: A FATHERS DAY TABOO DRAG SHOW

June 26 7:30 Saturday
