Nu‘uanu stream flood control improvements

Stream flood control improvements at North Kukui Street

HONOLULU – Beginning Monday, May 25, work will begin for the above referenced project. The project is expected to continue through mid-January 2021

The project work will include stabilization of the Nu‘uanu Stream concrete rubble masonry (CRM) channel wall, sawcut/demolition of existing brick pavers and concrete sidewalk, installation of concrete pavement, removal of electrical light poles and electrical boxes, removal of vegetation and reconstruction of portions of the channel wall.

Working hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Please be advised to use caution and observe all signs posted near the construction work zone area. Every effort will be made to complete this essential work as quickly and with as little inconvenience to you as possible. Your assistance and cooperation during this project will be greatly appreciated.
