Aloha HawaiiSlam family. We just wanted to let you know about some super special shows coming to Hawai`i Theatre (May 11th) and Maui's Iao Theater (May 14th). Shane Koyczan is coming to the islands, and you can get a 10% discount for either show by mentioning the "HawaiiSlam Discount" when you purchase your tickets!! Here's his bio information:

-- Shane Koyczan is a National Poetry Slam Individual Champion. He performed at the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, where an audience of more than 1 billion people worldwide heard his piece "We Are More." In February 2013, Koyczan released an animated video of his spoken word poem "To This Day" on YouTube and at the TED Conference. Shortly after, the poem went viral, receiving over 18 million views. Tickets (when you mention the "HawaiiSlam Discount"): $24, $15, $10 (plus $3 Theater Restoration Fee)
