The End of the Year Cupcake & Cocktail Party and Fundraiser for The ARTS at Marks Garage

The END (of the year) Is Near!!! The ARTS at Marks Garage wants to celebrate it with you! On Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 7pm to 10pm, The ARTS at Marks Garage is throwing it's End of the Year Cupcake & Cocktail Party and Fundraiser. Enjoy Live Music by Streetlight Cadence, Burlesque from Sweet Soirée with food donated by Soul De Cuba and delicious desserts by Let Them Eat Cupcakes.

In addition to live entertainment and pupus, admission gets you 2 complimentary drink tickets for a crafty cocktail from The BAR at Marks or beer donated by Kona Brewing Company, access to a sweet silent auction benefiting The ARTS at Marks Garage, AND a chance to win excellent raffle prizes!

Tickets are $25 online, $30 at the door. Party starts at 7pm! Advance tickets can be purchased at www.artsatmarks.eventbrite.com.

About Marks: The ARTS at Marks Garage is a thirteen-year old community arts center attracting over 45,000 people annually to 12 major exhibits and over 150 performances, lectures, screenings, workshops. It is an incubator for over a dozen performance and visual arts groups, and offers creative classes for neighborhood youth. Marks sponsors the creative revitalization of the downtown-Chinatown area through neighborhood relations, festivals, neighborhood guides, and First Friday Honolulu.

Over the past 13 years The ARTS at Marks Garage has hosted 150 gallery exhibits, 2,000 performances, 4,000 public events, 2,500 visual artists, 10,000 performers, 120 First Fridays and 390,000 visitors: the equivalent of every person in the City of Honolulu, from Sandy Beach to Aloha Stadium. We are an independent, non-profit, artist-run haven for: collaboration, freedom of expression, and the arts. We do this because the arts transform people and places.

Rated top Honolulu gallery by The Culture Trip, TripAdvisor's FlipKey, and National Geographic online in 2014. Staff profiled in "6 People Making a Difference…" by Honolulu Magazine, in November, 2013. Mayor Kirk Caldwell gave Marks an Award of Merit in 2013, and Mayor Peter Carlisle gave Marks a Hall of Fame Proclamation in 2012.
