• FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK IMPORTANT PEDESTRIAN ALERT - Changes to street closure

IMPORTANT PEDESTRIAN ALERT: Bus traffic traveling Diamond Head on King Street continues to be diverted onto Hotel Street for a major repaving project.

As a result, the section of Hotel Street, between Nuuanu and Smith street, that is normally closed off of First Fridays to create a safe, vehicle-free pedestrian promenade, will NOT be in effect. Buses will travel the area and pedestrians are advised to be careful.

First Friday draws hundred of participants, which at time creates sidewalk congestion. Be patient and avoid moving onto the street. The repavement project is expected to last three to four months. Media assistance informing the public of this temporary change appreciated.
