Framing Paradise:  Photography and Waikīkī
 Opening: Sunday, October  7,  3pm-5pm.

Framing Paradise: Photography and Waikīkī
Framing Paradise: Photography and Waikīkī explores some of the ways in which Waikīkī has been recorded through the lens from the 19th to the 21st century.  Featuring historical photographs from private collections, the Bishop Museum Archives, and contemporary portfolios by Eric Yanagi and Daido Moriyama.  Framing Paradise invites the viewer to investigate Waikīkī’s history and its genesis as an icon of tourism and one of photography’s quintessential subjects.
