The Oahu Arts Center will be holding its 2012 Trash2Fashion Show at the Wahiawa Pineapple Festival on Saturday, May 12, 2012, Wahiawa District Park. Artists/Students are required to create wearable costumes from found objects, re-used/recycled clothing, plant-based waste, etc. Aside from showcasing the artistic aspect of creating fashionable artwear, this fun event also educates the community about how they could do more with recycling. Radio personality Kimo Villarimo and myself will co-emcee the event.

If you are an artist or student or know of someone who would be interested in participating in this event, please email me for details. We will be accepting entrants until we have enough participants for the fashion show. There is no fee to enter. It'll be a fun and exciting event so I hope you will consider being a part of Oahu Arts Center 2012 Trash2Fashion Show.
