  • Ka Leo Arts Festival At UH Manoa Campus - Thursday, October 20 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.


Ka Leo Arts Festival will kick off the University of Hawaii's homecoming festivities on Thursday, October 20, when performers, artists and students will transform the center of the campus into a web of creativity.

The free Arts Festival will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and feature student and community artists, groups, and performers among 30 tents and two stages that will stretch beneath the monkey pod trees of McCarthy Mall from the Art Building to Kennedy Theatre.

The festival also will host an after party featuring student and alumni bands at Manoa Gardens at Hemenway Hall. Both events are open to the public. Parking is available in the campus parking structure.

The festival is being organized by Ka Leo, which has been the student newspaper on campus for 89 years.
