Enjoy Furlough Fridays at The Contemporary Museum – Makiki Heights

We invite you to join us at The Contemporary Museum for Furlough Fridays. A special admission rate of $2.00 and two canned items* will be honored for all Furlough Fridays and free admission for all with Government ID.

October 30 and November 6:
Explore our beautiful grounds and see the making of a wall mural. Enjoy lunch in the Contemporary Café, offering a special Furlough Friday Keiki menu. Join a docent-led tour of the garden and grounds at 1:30pm. Visit the Museum Shop to see a variety of unique treasures for your little ones. Galleries will be closed for installation.

November 20:
Experience a new exhibit, At 21: Gifts and promised Gifts in Honor of the Contemporary Museum’s 20th Anniversary, open from November 13, 2009 to January 24, 2010. Enjoy a docent-led tour of the gallery at 1:30 p.m.

December 2, 11 and 18:
Let your children (K – 6) explore contemporary art through gallery tours, storytelling and a hands-on art project.
10:00 am – noon
$15.00 per child

Entry: One-Day Membership Pass: $8 Adults; $6 Students & Seniors; Members, Military with ID & Children 12 and under are free. (The fee for a one-day membership pass may be applied to the cost of an annual membership on the day of issue.) It is always free to visit the Museum Shop or the TCM Café. Museum and Shop Hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday from Noon to 4 p.m.; Closed Mondays and major holidays. The Contemporary Café Hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Sunday from Noon to 2:30 p.m. Café Reservations: (808) 523-3362. Docent Tours: Tuesday-Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Cades Library Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.; or by special appointment. Parking: Free.
