This group is free
It meets every other Tuesday, downtown at LAND OF ORGANICA
I'd like people to rsvp so I'd prefer that address not be given
Time: 6:30-8 p.m. and the group starts promptly at 6:30

Purpose:
To strengthen writing muscle

Format:
We write 1-5 minutes on a series of topics
We share what we have written
There is no critique

It is a facilitated group sharing:
What we wrote
Sharing additional sources for would be and experienced writers

Like a gym builds muscles
Our WILD MIND sessions build:
Confidence
The ability to write spontaneously
Hearing how others approach the same subject

The group currently exists in Hilo so this is WILD MIND HONOLULU
We've had 2 very successful meetings

SUBJECT TO CHANGE:
The group will meet in this space depending on attendance and enthusiasm through March of 09 and we will determine at that time if we will continue to meet here or elsewhere.

The group will meet two Tuesdays a month and these are the dates:
NOV. 11 - 25
DEC. 9 - 23
JAN. 6 - 20
FEB. 3 - 17
MAR. 3 - 17 - 31

What WILD MIND IS
A twice a month facilitated writing salon or writing gym to improve our writing muscles and gain appreciation of the spoken word and the varieties of the writing process exhibited by each writer
It's fun, stimulating environment & great practice for writers or writers to be

We write on a series of 1-5 minute timed sessions
It's a great opportunity to write, to listen, to laugh, to gain new ideas and perspectives.

What WILD MIND is NOT
A critique session
A place to test out writing you have worked on outside the group
A place to gain advice regarding publishing or obtaining a writing agent
A class with teachers, a grade and a pass or fail system
Not a performance, guests are not allowed
the general public will not be dropping in

Professionals, students, people new to writing�All are welcome
