PRESS RELEASE: The 4th official HawaiiSlam season rolls on with its last monthly qualifier at First Thursdays (March 1st, 2007). The top two poets will qualify for the HawaiiSlam Finals in April 2007 that will determine the team to represent Hawaii at the 2007 National Poetry Slam in Austin, TX.

Our guest feature for this evening is Shihan. Shihan is a National Poetry Slam Champion (2004) and has been featured on a variety of media outlets such as HBO's Def Poetry, NBC, and The Oxygen Network. As always, the night will be hosted by Kealoha, and will feature live painters, massages in the lounge, and a guest DJ (Lady J from RGU) providing turntable sorcery throughout the evening.

Hawaiian Hut is located on the Ala Moana Hotel grounds, near the diamond head side of the Ala Moana shopping center. Doors open at 7:45pm, and the show starts at 8:30pm. Admission is $3 before 8:30pm and $5 after.
