About Al Tringali
Al Tringali started playing Hawaiian music around 1970 after taking a six week course in Hawaiian slack key guitar from Keola Beamer. He has been perfecting his musical talents ever since.
Al always had a love for music and Hawaiian music was relatively easy for him to pick up. With a Bachelor's degree in the Hawaiian language, Al is very skilled at interpreting Hawaiian lyrics.
Al Tringali grew up in Chinatown and is well known in the community as a musician who plays and sings Hawaiian music.
Al's performances in the art community started in the late 1990's by playing solo gigs for the art gallery at Windward Community College. It was through the art gallery curator (Toni Martin) that he ended up playing for "One Night Stand in The Chinatown Courtyard" on First Fridays.
