Musicians and artists rejoice together to share their bounty of music, love, art and good times as we welcome another First Friday in Chinatown! Come on down to the bohemian heart of Honolulu (Ong King on Fort Street) to join in the festivities.... Kava will be flowing, the music will be bumpin', and the dance floor will be filled with flow arts. Show up for the art, and stay to dance the night away... We have fresh, crisp art to tantalize your visual cortex, And musical sounds to get you into the groove, and dancing through the night... come on down to embrace locally sourced, 100% organic, art, performance, music and dance...

Music Lineup:
Bret (Biku) Shimabuku
Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Shimabuku is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist who uses looping technology to write and perform as a soloist with a full band sound. He plays a broad range of musical genres in an upbeat, fun and heartfelt style.

Mr. Mac (aka.Dan McLaughlin) writes songs with an eclectic style, mixing folk, blues and alternative influences. He likes to collaborate and jam with a variety of inspirational muscians. Mr. Mac represents is a band and or persona, dedicated to expressing his original music, blues, folk and other sounds.

A 3 piece band music from south India, Mali, south America & Malaysia with a base of funk, blues, rock and a bit of Jazz improvisation. Truly is an incredible collaboration of Music from different areas of the globe. Featuring Guitar and Sitar by the amazing Shree Sadagopan, Latin inspired polyrhythmic ecstatic beats, and deep bass lines to stir your body and soul by James Harmon.

This Reggae Trio is heore to touch your soul with finely crafted lyrics, your spirit with their skankin rhythms, and get your hearts dancing as the melodies take you into the night... With Dominic Carlos, Amy Yamashiro & Casey Ibara.

These guys set magnificent sound-scapes with a psychedelic feel. Let their fusion of futuristic synths, soothing cello, and poly-rhythmic vibes entice you into a trance. The Sounds of #slowdripDMT will get your body moving into dimensions yet unexperienced

Phil Strauss is joining us for another set before embracing the life of a wandering bard. Come on down to experience the stories Phil tells through song, get lost in his harmonic chords, and wish him well on the journeys to come.

Mira Alexandrea Newell is an Experiential Psychotherapist with a background in clinical and community work in the U.S., Nicaragua, and Croatia. She specializes in Eco-Art Therapy: utilizing creativity in connection with nature to foster healing and growth.
