Shake it up at Ong King this First Friday with ART, WORDS, and MUSIC meant to challenge your brain and perceptions.

Spoken Word by The Poetry Bodega
Darren Cambra: His style is tongue in cheek, with a stiff upper lip, mixed with emotions worn on a sleeve.
He stencils his story with rhythm, rhyme, and rhetoric.
Then he paints it with pun, wit, and sarcasm.
Finally frames it on stage with unequal parts of compassion, comedy, and rage.

Ezzio "E-poetry": When you are on stage everything else is just…just. If only one sentence from one poem reaches someone in that room, it was worth the hustle of going to every open mic and putting yourself out there.

Bass Face is hosting the live music at Ong King First Friday night this July! first we have a new but welcome band Rabid Janes! then the wavey and surfy Ragamuffs, and the sad boys of Feeble and Sasstronaughts! there will be other performances at the art center before the music starts so make sure to arrive early!

Ong King is hidden inside the Old Blaisdell Hotel on Fort Street Mall, Chinatown Honolulu. There is street parking and cheap parking on the aloha parking stalls by Marks Garage.
Drawing Inspiration from nature, and their connection with creatures of all shapes and sizes, Cheyenne and Irvin will be showing their original works before Cheyenne leaves the island on July 1st.
