Exhibit duration October 21- January 5, 2017

Ravizza Brownfield Gallery is pleased to bring an intrigue of an artist to an end the 2017 calendar with a fantasy emitting showcase. Andy Warhol's silkscreen prints such as Shoes from 1980 engage our obsession with his subjects of consumerism in America. On October 20th the Nuuanu Ave opens its doors to the public 6:00 - 8:30 pm.

Early in his career, creating advertisements for women's footwear throughout the 1950's as a commercial illustrator. The challenge of entering the fine art market would begin his bold attempt in experimental media such as film, photography, sculpture and later leading with his eminent obsession to mass production the work he provoked most popularity, screen printing. The charm behind this leading pop art impression has inspired us in one way or another. Allowing artists and art patrons for centuries to follow and ask the question "what is art, the skill or the object."
