Friday, February 6, 6--9 p.m., Hawai‘i State Art Museum, Free

Please join the Hawai‘i State Art Museum as we welcome Skylark to February's First Friday. Playing the music of composers such as Bach and Tchaikovsky, Skylark's recorder instruments are what sets them apart. These are not the plastic recorders you played in primary school! Some as large as six feet long, these beautiful instruments are made out of rosewood, tulipwood and ebony. Join us on February 6, 2015 from 6--9 pm.

The Hawai‘i State Art Museum would like to thank Shoji Ledward and all of our visitors for braving the impending wind and rainstorm last month to join us here for January's First Friday. To the delight of his fans, Shoji played a marathon set that lasted the entire night with barely a break.

After taking a trip through the Renaissance and Baroque periods in February, join us for jazz in March with the Partners in Time. Be sure to stop by and check out the annual Art at the Capitol festivities at participating legislators' offices on March 6th.
