Join us on First Friday on February 7, 2014 from 6 -- 9 p.m. at the Hawai‘i State Art Museum

Please join us for First Friday on February 7, 2014 in welcoming back PACKids from the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei. From 6 - 9 p.m., PACKids will be at the Hawai‘i State Art Museum showcasing a variety of song and dance from many current Broadway musicals, show choir favorites, and the world of Disney.

PACKids consists of 29 talented students aged 7 -- 17 from all over the island. Come to the February First Friday and show our support for our up-and-coming stars of stage, screen, and music. In fact, PACKids have been invited to Disneyland to perform in March this year.

Guitarist Shoji Ledward kicked off 2014 with his appearance at HiSAM's First Friday in January to a packed audience in the second floor sculpture lobby. Shoji enjoyed playing so much that his first set lasted one hour and forty-five minutes. Focusing on jazz, Shoji played for an attentive crowd that appreciated every musical minute. The Hawai‘i State Art Museum would like to send a big aloha and mahalo to Shoji Ledward for blessing us with his gift.

Coming up in March, First Friday on March 7, 2014 will feature the ever popular Hawai‘i Opera Theater
