A CELEBRATION OF THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Honolulu - Award-winning photographer Rita Coury is presenting a free photography exhibit as part of First Friday, September 7, 2012, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on the 21st Floor of the Plaza Club, Pioneer Plaza, 900 Fort Street Mall, downtown Honolulu. This is Ms. Coury’s Second Mahalo Anniversary Showcase and celebrates the many faces of Hawaii that she has captured on film. The Showcase is open to the public.

All attendees will receive a free door
-prize ticket at the door. The first 100 attendees will be given a tote bag, a beverage ticket and an additional prize ticket. Door prizes to be given away throughout the evening include: A gift basket ($50 value) of hair accessories from Sweetpea by Baby Gifts and Things; a gift basket ($100 value) filled with necklaces, earrings, stack-rings and more from Dax & Zan Jewelry; and several $500 photo packages. The last door prize, “$1000 for 1,000” will be awarded at the close of the event. Winner must be present to receive the $1000 photo package that will only be awarded if 1,000 fan “likes” are received by the event date on facebook.com/pages/Rita-Coury.

As Ms. Coury’s specialty is photography of children from newborns to toddlers to pre-teens, families including keiki are welcome at the event. This is a true celebration of photography as art. Although the fine-art canvas portraits are all pre-sold, there will be an opportunity for those in attendance to schedule their own photo sessions at a 50% discount. As this is a celebration, there will be entertainment for your enjoyment while viewing this fine-art display. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Parking in the Pioneer Plaza parking garage is free (validated).

Although Rita Coury is also known for her film portraits of women in different stages of breast cancer, this Showcase is of the fascinating children and ohana of Hawaii. For more information about Ms. Coury and this event, please visit her Facebook page: facebook.com/pages/Rita Coury or her Web site: RitaCouryPhotography.com. She can be reached at 808-744-8989.
