The Chinatown Business and Community Association along with Indigo Inc. want to develop an awareness of Chinatown’s cultural diversity of our citizens and businesses, with the already existing First Friday celebrations.

We will be closing Nuuanu Ave fronting Indigo restaurant between Chaplin Lane and King Street from 6pm to 12pm. On the street we will be providing entertainment, vendor booths, food, bars and seating areas. Our preference is for local Chinatown businesses to participate as much as possible and we will augment any shortage with additional outside businesses.



Festival security and all bars will be staffed by Indigo personnel. Additional toilets and rubbish bins will be provided and Safety Systems will provide the street closure materials.

Traffic will be diverted starting 6 pm for event. The event will close 1) NUUANU AVE., all traffic lanes/sidewalk areas, from Chaplain Ln to Hotel St. 2) PAUAHI ST., all traffic lanes/sidewalk areas, from Smith St to Bethel St.
