GOMES...QUADRAPHONIX...TAIMANE GARDNER...SPEKATLAS...SPANISH THEATRE...MC SEE

Yes! Wow..ooo....gee wiz...heRe goes....Three visual artists cover the walls in cerebral bling. Van Wizle and German Cardona are serious graphic arts dudes, and SpeK AtLas is on with a miSSIon toward transcendence. NeXt, audible art: quadraphonix is back, Taimane Gardner will play with them, Christina Gomes sings sweet songs, the amazing duo of SiMPLe SouLs brings it, with drums and soul UnDer WatEr Radar closes the night. London born BroOklyn based sLam poet Tshaka blesses the mic. The theatre is represented by a satirical pLay concerning the life and times of Che' Guevera: Taro, Tango and Taco bell. Plus juggler Loco MocO, and the spontaneous eruptions of truth mirth and merriment....

Visual ART
FEAUTURE ARTIST: SpekAtlas: We humans have the greatest gift: the gift of creation- no matter what the creation is. but the main creation we construct is the creation of reality. Scott Mcgann and Duban Guerrero have started a creation discovering one gift that is eternal and free.. Art is the form that expresses the soul.. SpekAtlaS is a creation to try and reveal our propose.... An Atlas of the different points in time To remind us of the things we need most in life...SpeKAtlaS is not just another brand trying to take over the market reveals it self for us to gain knowledge.... Thru art we achieve that which we need to find is a state of being..

.... The main purpose of this is to enjoy the moment we are in.... which is the never ending now.... Through our art we bring that invisible force of life and creation in to something physical... It is more than just painting a pretty picture. It is our soul painting and guiding were we should go-each painting manifest from the moment and ... becoming free and pure for there are no boundaries in the realm of creation... As we create we free our self from the chaotic thoughts which seem to haunt us in our everyday situations... We decided to start SpeKAtlas as a form to get our art which is our believes out to those who are willing to listen.... Each painting and drawing With different inspiration brought upon through time... we are in this not for pride or greed.. it s more like a search for those who understand the simple truth of nothing more than reality and existence... the sessions of endless time we experience while we create is enough to satisfy our life.... this is nothing more than evolution taking its role.. Effortlessly flowing in with the universe.....
FEAUTURE ARTIST: German Cardona brings graphic art.

MUSIC: Simple Souls, the acoustic incarnation of established musical group, Kanalo, has been performing together since July 2003. What was initially a dare to play aside from their established band, Kanalo (which was then a 4-piece band), turned into a new passion for "unplugged" music and a fresh acoustic sound. Simple Souls holds it down with an acoustic guitar, percussions, 2 vocals and a killer list of songs. Both members add flavor to the group. Zaysha, with a voice that was destined for rock 'n' roll, is the duo's powerhouse. Jenn adds a little fun with her creative singing style and zany personality. Their music selection is so extensive, you'll never tire listening to the sound that is, Simple Souls.

Jenn "JRoQ" Wright - Percussions, Vocals

UNDERwATer Radar: "Water is the basic ingredient for life. We need it, love it, respect it, and use it everyday. We believe in the healing power of water; whether in our shower, lakes, rivers, streams, or oceans and this understanding is the foundation for our sound. Underwater Radar is here to provide a soundtrack for life, the more we as musicians/artists/humans live, the more we are able to integrate those experiences into our sound frequencies. We are reflecting what we are living. Our music is born from the innermost depths of the soul. Rhythm, melody, timing, focus, light, and healing guide us in the music making process. We are delighted to share this with everyone we can. Like Jeffreye says, "we jump in the river and allow ourselves to get wet."

QUADRAPHONIX: ReturNs with special guest, Taimane Gardner, the Quadraphonix are here to ignite the dance fLoor with their prismatic funk groove. Sitar/Guitar Player: Shree Saragopan, Drummer/Composer Jonathan Heraux,
Conga player ELI Clemens, on the BASS Bret.
Christina Gomes: After shoveling snow for 22 years, on the East coast of the mainland, I grew a wild hair and drove cross-country to bask in the glow of sunny California. Moving across the country wasn't enough to satisfy my need for travel, so I swam to this island bay and found what I was looking for. Music, art, and creativity have since crossed my path from all directions and I have been wholly affected. I soon picked up an ukulele and have yet to put it down. Although new to playing, I began singing in the womb. My dad was a blues and funk man and has thankfully passed down the soul. Now, at 25 years old, I let my soul speak free through writing and playing. When I'm not playing, I spend a little time changing the world by running a music therapy group for youth in foster care.

Taimane Gardner is the love of ong kINgs reality. SHe is a uke master, and has learned the art of groove. Her new album LIFE; The Art and Beauty of Being Human is on Amazon.

SLAM POETRY: Tshaka Menelik Imhotep Campbell is his Full Name. However, he likes to be known as simply a "TarMan Celebrating his Natural Kink". Originally from London England and of Jamaican decent, Tshaka has been writing poetry for 10 years. He soon realized his calling and fell headfirst into perfecting his craft. Only recently did he decide to step out of the world in his head and share his thoughts. He has been known to conjure the power of Nyamah (energy of Words), as did his ancestors before him.

As a reincarnated West African Griot, he attests to the importance of oral traditions. The need to pass on stories, history, thoughts and passion, through the art of written and spoken word. "Imagery is what Poetry is about for me," he says. "I feel the need to paint a picture for the listener, reader or audience and take them on a journey; have them experience the place or situation that I am writing/performing about. I want them to go home and write afterwards, kiss their Momma, or hug their baby, kick their roommate, slap their landlord or whatever...As long as it invokes emotion action/reaction afterwards."
Tshaka is currently working as an executive in the financial services industry. He has studied Architecture at City College of NY and Hampton University; as well as SUNY-FIT, NYU and a host of other institutions leading to a degree in Architecture and two in Integrated Marketing. Although rooted in Brooklyn, he currently resides in San Francisco, California More Tshaka - A performing dynamo. Tshaka is an intense performer with a talent to incorporate a blend real world life with teachings/histories of the past. He was a member of the Nuyorican Poets Cafð004 National Slam Team, the 2005 San Francisco Grand Slam Champion and a member of the Hollywood Slam team in 2006 and Grand Slam Champion in 2007.

THEATRE: How do the icons and mythologies of Latino identity translate to 21st-century Hawai'i? With humor, attitude and a little salsa caliente the UH Teatro Latino provides the answers as it takes an irreverent look at Latino life on Oahu. Tango dancers and Argentine comic book star Mafalda, who now speaks pidgin, set the stage for "The Return of Che-Local Style", a Latino spoof of October 2008, in which national politics, the state of Mexican food in Honolulu, and the floundering UH football team all meet up with a dead revolutionary.

THE MC: MC SeE is writing these words. He paints pictures, spits sermons, makes mirth, gets giddy, in a lucid lyrical loose lipped language linking rap n' poetry, classic & karmic soliloquies.
