For First Friday in August, “One Night Stand” in the Chinatown Courtyard on Smith Street will feature two Windward artists and one from the North Shore via Maui.

Down from the North Shore, Suzy Annick, uses vibrant colors, deep hues, and natural mediums to create beautiful seascapes and dreamy abstracts that are inspired from her travels across the globe in search of surf and snow. She uses sands and shells that she has collected from each of her destinations to accentuate her painting creating a surreal warm feeling. Not only on canvas, but also on jewelry such as Mother of Pearl shells to create a unique wearable art.

A lifetime artist, Barbara Eberhart's passion for color and beauty radiate from her exquisite canvasses. known for her sensuously blended oils, her painterly effects in acrylics attest to the depth of her talent. Barbara's work fulfills her aim of bringing joy and delight to uplift the spirit. Her paintings affirm that great art can demonstrate beauty and happiness. Barbara was one of the first artists to appear in the Courtyard and she returns with many new canvases.

The photography of Tomás del Amo has been seen for decades on the covers of magazines, ads and brochures for virtually every airline, cruise line, and hotel chain in Hawaii. Now showing his fine art creations he demonstrates the extraordinary talent of a man who has dedicated his life to his art. His technical expertise allows him to take the visions in his heart and bring them to reality.

Together, Barbara and Tomás inspire each other and create an artistic partnership that manifests itself in uniquely beautiful works of art.

Come to the Courtyard anytime during the evening and view this exciting art work, have refreshments and listen to Fred Gayagas share his wonderful old and new Hawaiian tunes. Enter the Courtyard through the gate on Smith Street as marked by the Blue Dragon and his lanterns.
