ENTERTAINMENT
We invite you to see the art exhibitions of the Hawaii State Art Museum, which will be open for First Friday on February 2nd from 5 to 9 p.m. Guitarist Jason Uesato will perform popular favorites in the Sculpture Gallery. Jason composes and performs original songs, and he specializes in a mixture of different musical styles including jazz, classical, blues, ragtime, folk, slack key, and Brazillian-jazz. He also performs fan favorites Classical Gas, The Girl >From Ipanema, Peter Gun, Manha De Carnaval, The Star Spangled Banner, and many more popular songs.

EXHIBITIONS
Enriched by Diversity: The Art of Hawaii, is a semi-permanent exhibition featuring 132 works of art by 105 Hawaii-based artists from the Art in Public Places Collection. Inspirational themes in the installation revolve around rediscovering Hawaiian heritage, Asian roots, social consciousness, and cultural traditions.


Precious Resources: The Land & The Sea, is a new temporary exhibition that explores our connection to earth and water and the impact of our natural surroundings on the identity, daily lives, and cultures of Hawai'i. Artists include Allyn Bromley, Robert Hamada, Kathleen Kam, Herb Kane, Wayne Levin, Hiroki Morinoue, Louis Pohl, Franco Salmoiraghi, and John Wisnosky. This exhibition has been extended to run indefinitely.




ABOUT THE HAWAII STATE MUSEUM
The Hawai'i State Art Museum is located in No. 1 Capitol Distric Building at 250 South Hotel Street. The building is situated in the historic Hawaii Capital Cultural District, across from 'Iolani Palace and the State Capitol.
