Call for Entries

Exhibition: September 24 -- October 11, 2018

ENTRY DATE:

Please submit entry form, fee and jpeg images by Wednesday, September 12, 2018. It is part of our goal to showcase as many artists as possible, therefore we will make every effort to display at least one art piece from each artist who enters. It is not a themed show.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any fine art media is acceptable. All entries must be original work executed within the last five (5) years by the artist.

•Oil / Acrylic / Watercolor, Pastel

•Photography / Mixed Media

DEADLINE:

There is an entry fee of $30 for up to five (5) art images for consideration. Checks should be made payable to Corinne Gallardo Mata. Completed entry form, fee and jpegs should be received by Wednesday, September 12, 2018. The artwork you wish to enter for consideration will be accepted by digital images on CD via mail or if you prefer, you may email your entry form and jpegs to corinnegallardo@hotmail.com. Entry fee must be mailed. For accepted artwork, artists will be notified by Friday, September 14, 2018. Each accepted entry must be labeled on the back or bottom with the artist's name, title of the art, price and medium. Please use the labels provided below.

ELIGIBILITY & RULES:

- Open to all artists. All work must be original in interpretation & composition not copied.

- Two-dimensional work must be dry & ready to hang. Work not properly wired will not be accepted. No saw tooth hangers.

- All entries must have been executed within the last five (5) years.

- Two-dimensional work may not exceed 5 feet by 5 feet including the frame.

- All artwork for sale must be priced and in sellable condition. Artists may choose not to sell their work.

- If entry is judged not to be the same quality as the digital image or deemed inappropriate, we reserve the right to exclude it from the show.

SALES:

All artwork must remain hanging for the duration of the show. Artist receives 100% commission on all sales and is responsible for handling the sale of their own art.

DELIVERY AND PICK UP:

Hand deliver all accepted artwork to Honolulu Hale, 1st floor courtyard area, on Monday, September 24, 2018 between 8:00 and 9:00 am. You may park out front briefly to drop off. At the close of the show, pick up time for all artwork is, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 8:30 am. Please ensure you or an authorized representative pick up the artwork(s) as we have no means for storage.

Non-Liability:

Exhibit coordinators Corinne Gallardo Mata and Leo Gozar shall not be liable for loss or damage to any works of art entered. We will take necessary precaution to protect placed artwork, however, artists understands that all works are being placed at artist's own risk.

Monday, September 24 Deliver artwork at Honolulu Hale Gallery between 8:00 and 9:00 am

Thursday, September 27 Opening Reception, 4:00 to 6:00 pm

Thursday, October 11 Pickup artwork at 8:30 am
