Reyn Spooner Announces The Release Of "Volcano Park"

"Volcano Park" PRINT

Portion of the proceeds to support HAWAI'I VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Reyn Spooner, the Hawaii based business known for its iconic reverse-print shirt designs, releases Volcano Park, a limited edition aloha print to honor HAWAI'I VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii Island(Big Island).

Volcano Park was designed by renowned Artist Dietrich Varez, well known for depicting Hawaiian culture and legends through his hand carved blocks of linoleum, from which he has printed thousands of his block prints. Dietrich lived and worked in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park in the 1970s. Dietrich has used his art to share images of Hawaiian stores or legends with the world. This Volcano Park print features Volcano eruptions, Lehua flowers, I'iwi birds, Nene goose, Steam vents, Ferns and more.

"We are grateful for Dietrich's art and Reyn Spooner's generosity, this partnership will help support our efforts to preserve and share Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park with visitors around the world," said Cindy Orlando, Hawai'i Volcanoes Park Superintendent.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park offers visitors a look at two of the world's most active volcanoes: Kilauea and Mauna Loa. Established in 1916 the park just celebrated 100 years of operation. Today visitors can view lava activity in Halema'uma'u Crater, visit Jaggar Museum on Crater Rim Drive, explore over 150 miles of trails, or take a scenic drive down Chain of Craters Road.

"Volcano Park celebrates a part of Hawaiian Culture and History that has been well preserved for over 100 years. Having the artwork designed by Big Island artist Dietrich Varez was also a natural fit," said Lei Rowan, Reyn Spooner Marketing Director. "Dietrich's love and dedication to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park over the years can be seen in every piece of this print. From the details of each Lehua Blossom to the ‘I'iwi birds search of nectar to the iconic Volcanic eruptions."
