University Of Hawai'i - CALL TO ARTIST - The Ninth Annual Survey Exhibition of Contemporary Photography in Hawai‘i 2017

UH MANOA PACIFIC NEW MEDIA SEEKS ENTRIES FOR 9th ANNUAL CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY IN HAWAI‘I EXHIBITION

The Ninth Annual Survey Exhibition of Contemporary Photography in Hawai‘i 2017, sponsored by UH Manoa Outreach College's Pacific New Media, is open to all artists using photographic processes: analog or digital, color or B&W, alternative processes and mixed media explorations. The juried exhibition offers photographers a venue for exhibiting work and provides an up-to-date snapshot of the state of the art of photography in Hawai‘i.

Hawai‘i residents - amateurs and professionals - are welcome to submit digital files of original works that have been created within the past two years and have not been previously exhibited. Images selected for the exhibition must be printed and framed.

The exhibition takes place from August 3-26, 2017 at The ARTS at Marks Garage, 1159 Nu‘uanu Avenue, Honolulu. An artists' reception for the public is planned for Friday, August 4 from 6-8pm. Prizes from sponsors will be awarded at a ceremony that will take place at 6:30pm.
