Tavana McMoore, known around town simply as Tavana takes the stage at Downbeat Lounge each third Thursday beginning November 21st. His music can be described as a unique blend of heavy American blues with sprinklings rock and roll, and even Hawaiian slack key. A one man band, he plays acoustic guitar, slide steel guitar, kick drum and the high hat. Adding in his deep booming voice, the feel is heavy, and the sound is big. Tavana has participated in two South by Southwest music festivals, and won over audiences from all corners of our Hawaii music scene.

Tavana will also be hand picking guest performers each month to join him on stage. Dont miss this 3 hour FREE showcase each month.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"Was there on opening night... What a great place. Had the loco moco and was so full that I had to take dessert to go (Otto Cake). Simply delicious. The staff was great. Instantly became my favorite diner."

"Even as we walked into Downbeat, the modern diner decor and cozy feel was enough to have me praying to the gods that the food and service would be up to snuff enough for me to make this a regular stop on my Chinatown circuit. We sat at the bar and our very friendly bartender - Serena - gave us menus and gave us the breakdown about their alcohol policy."

The basket of fritters are a MUST GET, though. Big pieces, a cup of caramel sauce, and fritters so soft and sweet that the sauce is almost an after thought. if you MUST get dessert, get the basket of fritters.
