Parent's and Children Together (PACT), a local non-profit organization dedicated to the promoting healthy individuals, families and communities through a variety of family services, is currently reaching out to local businesses, organizations and individuals in hopes of gaining support in PACT's Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities this October.
Domestic violence is a shameful and horrible situation that unfortunately affects many families in Hawaii and throughout the world. PACT Hawaii is dedicated to helping as many families in Hawaii as possible over come domestic violence, and any support our local community can provide would be terrific. Toward this end, we'd be ever so grateful to have the support of the First Friday event organizers and participants to "Paint the Town Purple" for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
(In the same way that pink is used to represent breast cancer awareness, purple representative of domestic violence awareness.)
To follow is a list of opportunities we have for your consideration:
We hope that you are open to supporting PACT's initiatives to raise awareness for domestic violence. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by email or at 533-4165.
