Brasserie Du Vin Receives Wine Spectator’s Award
of Excellence for the Fifth Consecutive Year
For the fifth year running, Brasserie Du Vin has been awarded Wine
Spectator’s prestigious Award of Excellence for its wine program.

Du Vin joins just nine other Oahu restaurants to receive the 2011 award,
including La Mer, Alan Wong’s, 3660 On The Rise, Morton’s
Steakhouse, and Formaggio.

Wine Spectator makes this annual award to establishments with wine lists (offering at
least 100 different bottles) that offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along
with a thematic match to the menu, in both price and style.

Brasserie Du Vin’s wine list features a diverse selection of varieties, regions, and styles.
At any given time, Du Vin has nearly 200 different wines on its menu. Twenty-five
different wines are available by the glass. In addition Du Vin has a selection of half
bottles on its menu and half and full carafes of wine are available during lunch. Wines
by the bottle start at $30 and wines by the glass start at $8.

Brasserie Du Vin has the look and feel of old Europe and was inspired by the informal
brasseries found throughout France, where hearty food and wine go hand-in-hand.
These traditional brasseries are rustic and casual and offer generous portions at
reasonable prices.

Owner David Stewart says, “At Du Vin you can relax with friends or a good book, while
enjoying a glass of wine and a basket of crusty, French bread, cheese and other savory bites. No
one needs to be a wine expert to enjoy Du Vin. All they need is a love of place, food, and drink.
Receiving this award -- every year since we opened -- is a great compliment and validates our
philosophy of making wine affordable and accessible.

Du Vin’s menu changes seasonally and, whenever possible, features locally grown and
sustainable products. Popular appetizers include baked brie, moules frites (steamed
mussels), French-style soups, and cheese plates. Entrees such as salads, sandwiches,
seafood, chops, and steaks are featured on the menu. Additionally, Du Vin’s in-house
pastry chef creates a daily selection of cakes, tarts, and other tantalizing desserts. (A full
menu can be found at www.brasserieduvin.com.)

Lunch served Monday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and dinner served
Monday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A late night menu is available after
10:00 p.m.
