A Special Holiday Concert with Neil Sedaka!
Neil Sedaka live at Hawaii Theatre Dec. 18 at 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

11.01.2010-- For over fifty years, NEIL SEDAKA has written, performed, produced, and inspired countless songs, and his canon of compositions will continue to stand the test of time. He has contributed to the history of rock-n-roll in a way few can claim, having amassed over 20 top 40 hits. Some classic chart-toppers include "The Diary," "Oh! Carol," " Stairway To Heaven," "Calendar Girl," "Little Devil," "Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen," "Next Door To An Angel," "Laughter In The Rain," "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" and a Hawaii favorite, "I Must Be Dreaming." Many of Sedaka's songs have become a part of people's lives and can instantly take listeners back to special moments.

Sedaka still continues to tour and record extensively, and even released a children's book this year. He has appeared as a guest judge on FOX's hit Television show American Idol -- in which Clay Aiken would perform Neil's "Solitaire," which saw an inevitable release, reaching #4 on the Hot 100 Singles chart, and was one of the Top Selling Singles of that year.

This year, Sedaka was given The Special International Award from The Ivors, honoring excellence in songwriting, as well as The Silver Heart Award, for his outstanding service to the music industry and his charitable work.

He has also been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and received the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Popular Music for outstanding achievements in furthering the successes of songwriters. He was presented with The Guinness Award for his song "(Is This the Way to) Amarillo", as the best selling single of the 21st century in the UK, a song that was originally performed by Tony Christie over thirty-five years ago. There is even a star with his name on it on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a street named after him in his hometown of Brooklyn.

In addition to his busy schedule on the road, this year he released "The Music of My Life", a CD of brand new material, including his first ever Salsa song, "Do You Remember", produced by Grammy Award Winner David Foster. "This is my best collection of songs in 57 years of songwriting," he said. "It might be my last set of pop songs, as I feel I cannot top these."

Reserved seating prices are $25, $37.50, & $45 and go on sale Friday, Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Hawaii Theatre Box Office, charge by phone at (808) 528-0506 or online at HawaiiTheatre.com.
