ABOUT DASH
Risk, exploration, experimentation and forward thinking set the professional fine artist apart from the pedestrian. The journey of process, and the quest for personal expression and universal truths, drives the fine artist toward new and innovative materials, techniques and methods to build their visions.

Digital imaging combines creativity with technology and continues to attract fine artists from the traditional disciplines of painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography. The advancements in hardware and software in the last decade have allowed digital fine artists to investigate deeper into their artistic endeavors than ever before. The archival pigment inks and substrates available insure the longevity and significance of digital images. The alacrity and scope afforded by digital imaging has augmented the work of all visual artists, thereby enhancing the visual experiences of museum patrons, movie fans and gallery visitors alike.

The Digital Art Society of Hawaii (DASH) encourages and supports all fine artists melding their traditional disciplines with digital imaging. DASH is proud of its eclectic and accomplished membership of professionals and will continue to provide a melting pot for ideas and interests to all visual artists. Guest speakers, show and tell, exhibition opportunities and technical advice are prominent components of the monthly meetings. The monthly DASH newsletter and E-mail exchanges keep DASH members apprised of the latest information on the arts and artists. If you are a fine artist and compelled to expand your creative horizons, DASH would like to welcome you to explore us.

Arthur Nelander, President
The Digital Art Society of Hawai'i
