China Town Gallery Turns Dreamers Into Artist In One Day.
SEPTEMBER IS “BE AN ARTIST” MONTH

Imagine waking up wishing you could paint and going to sleep a professional artist having sold your first painting at a gallery during China Town’s First Friday event.
THIS WILL HAPPEN on September 3, 2010 at Mamo Gallery on Bethel Street.

Renown Nature Artist Patrick Ching will hold a Realistic Painting Workshop for five novice painters on Friday morning and by First Friday night these beautiful paintings will be hanging for sale in a gallery full of art appreciators.
“I know one or all of the paintings will sell cause I’ll buy one myself!” says Ching.

“In a slow economy people search for self improvement and creative expression. People are already good artist. Most of them have made it a habit to downplay their skills. It takes only a short time to learn to use paints and to observe nature closer than you ever have. That’s why people get good at painting so fast!”

The entire month of September is “Be an Artist” Month as many Art and cultural teachers will be holding classes at Mamo Gallery. Teachers will be coming from Hawaii and even as far away as Florida to conduct workshops on many arts related subjects like oil painting, watercolors, figure drawing, cartooning, sculpture, street magic,
Hawaiian Language and more.
