The TAG Young Playwrights Festival
Announcing the winning plays
Congratulations Samuel, Kelley & Aliyah!

The plays have been adjudicated and 4 were selected for production in TAG's Young Playwrights Festival. We will be producing Invalidation by Samuel Spengler from Le Jardin Academy, Play in Progress by Kelley Mitchell from Maryknoll & Exceptional Hearing by Aliyah Flowe, a home-schooled student.

We will also be presenting The Honu and the Hare, a Hawaiian Parable written by VSA Hawaii Waianae GED Prep students

All students in grades 6-12 are invited to be a part of the Festival and we would like you to understand that if you accept you must make the commitment to be involved throughout the entire process. You must register to attend. Click here for the registration form and just complete and mail. All adults are invited to work with your children or young adults or just join us for TAG's first festival!

By becoming a part of the festival you will have the opportunity to work with a professional playwrights and all aspects of a theatrical production with the help of Laurie Tanoura as TAG's Production Manager, Brad Powell, TAG's Artistic Director and several other TAG personnel.

The Festival will begin on June 1st and will run Mon-Fri from 10-4pm. The first week will consist of workshops about costuming, directing, publicity, etc and then we will hold auditions. The next three weeks, June 7 - 29, will be rehearsals and the last two weeks, June 30 - July 11, will be the performances which will be held in the evenings Thursdays through Saturdays and a Sunday matinee.
