September 06 - October 2, 2009 Faculty
Exhibition
Recent paintings, sculpture, ceramics, prints, mixed
media, and video by faculty from the Department of Art & Art History,
University of Hawaii at Manoa will be highlighted in
the Faculty
Exhibition. We welcome new faculty members who
have the opportunity to present their work at the UH Art Gallery for the first
time.
October 25 - December 11, 2009 Degrees of
Distinction: Alumni Invitational
Exhibition Degrees of
Distinction: Alumni Invitational Exhibition
features 20 to 24 artists and art historians educated at the Department of Art
& Art History, University of Hawaii at Manoa that are recognized for their
work and for their contributions as artists, educators, researchers, and museum
professionals. Since first conferring of Bachelor of Arts degrees in 1923, the
Department of Art & Art History has, over the past 85 years, had many alumni
contribute locally, nationally, and globally in the development of visual arts
communities.
January 17 - February 5, 2010 Graduate
Exhibition
The graduate art students of the University of Hawaii
at Manoa, Department of Art and Art History, present their annual exhibition of
new work. The exhibition includes the graduate students' most recent works in
painting, ceramics, fiber, glass, photography, design, printmaking, sculpture,
and electronic media.
February 21 - April 9, 2010 Contemporary
Art from Korea This exhibition brings
together about twenty contemporary artists from Korea. The artists are specially
selected to highlight the historical dynamism of modern
Korea. April
25 - May 14, 2010 BFA Exhibition The annual
BFA exhibition features recent work in painting, printmaking, fiber, glass,
drawing, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and intermedia
created by students who will receive BFA degrees this academic year from the
Department of Art and Art History, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Gallery hours:
Monday - Friday 10:30 - 5:00, Sun. 12:00 - 5:00. Closed holidays and
