When an old Samurai family falls on hard times in famine-ridden 1930's Japan, Kozo, the eldest son, decides on sudden and dramatic action to improve their circumstances. Unfortunately nothing goes to plan and his impulsive decision has dire consequences for all concerned.

We are looking for two young Asian boys
who should look to be 12 & 17.

The ages above are for the characters, not necessarily for the actor.
We will consider anyone who can LOOK the age and description.

SHOJI NAGAO - Asian boy in his teens, gentle, athletic and 'other worldly, thin.'

MASATAKA NAGAO - Asian boy, age 12 consumptive, (early teens, small, consumptive with a bad cough)

Auditions will be held;
