Dance, A Gift for Eternity
This performance of traditional, modern, and newly choreographed
Okinawan dance by Tamagusuku Ryu Senjukai Frances Nakachi
Ryubu Dojo will take you on a mystical journey to the Ancient Kingdom
of Okinawa and an era of royalty. The dances will capture the heart,
lifestyles, and unique culture of the Okinawan people and their philosophy,
"Life is a treasure." With this harmonious spirit, the dancers' rhythmical
and graceful movements convey life stories of love and tragedy.
This celebratory performance marks the 10th year anniversary of
Tamagusuku Ryu Senjukai Frances Nakachi Ryubu Dojo and is dedicated
to embracing cultural diversity and harmony. By sharing the rich Okinawan
arts with community, the Dojo helps to preserve the legacy of the past for
future generations.
General admission is $30; VIP seating is $50. Tickets available at the Hawaii
Theatre Box Office, 1130 Bethel Street, TuesdayÐSaturday, 9 am to 5pm. Call
