The festivities will include live entertainment on multiple stages with jazz & blues, a Brazilian Samba parade, and strolling entertainers performing throughout the Marketplace. For more information, call (808) 566-2337 or visit ### Calendar Item: Mardi Gras Celebration Aloha Tower Marketplace February 5, 2008 Starts at 5 p.m. Admission: FREE CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR AT Aloha Tower Marketplace (HONOLULU, HI) - Aloha Tower Marketplace will host a Chinese New Year celebration on Sunday, February 10 from 11 a.m. in the Center Atrium, beginning with a traditional Lion Dance to wish merchants and spectators good luck for the Year of the Rat! Admission is FREE. The celebration will begin with a traditional Lion Dance presented by the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association, followed by firecrackers. There will also be a special show in the Center Atrium, with the Wah Ngai members doing a more modern acrobatic performance in which the Lion jumps from poles. The Lions will then visit participating merchants to wish them luck for the New Year. The Lion may also be approached by spectators if they too wish to be blessed.
