2008 Deadline Approaches For Laila Twigg-Smith Art Scholarship FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Georgianna Decosta Hawaii Community Foundation (808) 566-5503 Limited number of scholarships from Hawai'i Community Foundation's Laila Art Fund available for visual artists to attend two summer programs HONOLULU--January 28 and February 4, 2008 are the deadlines for undergraduate students, graduate students and practicing artists to apply for scholarships that are available from the Laila Twigg-Smith Art Fund (LAF) of the Hawai'i Community Foundation (HCF). The scholarships are intended for artists to attend the 2008 summer programs at either the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO or the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA. The following eligibility requirements are required for applicants:
Preference will be given to scholarship applicants with financial need. Individuals may apply for only one scholarship per calendar year. Additional supplementary materials may be required by each school as part of the application process. Scholarship seekers must apply directly to either the Anderson Ranch Arts Center Glass School.
