"Tiny puppets made of vegetables & stereo parts make their film debut - live onstage, before your very eyes! PuppetCinema invites you to witness the spectacle of Planet Egg: crash-landings, cultural misunderstandings, murder, romance, forgiveness, and revenge. Performed and filmed live with a full score of live Foley, Planet Egg creates both an intimacy with the puppets and a cinematic grandness worthy of a space odyssey."

The visual world of Planet Egg is a collage of found objects and crafted creations, electronic parts and organic items. The Robot, his ship, and all of his belongings are pieces of old stereos and telephones, wires, springs, and other metal bits. Some of Planet Egg's natives are sculpted from clay, many are fresh vegetables.

Planet Egg is generously supported by Cheryl Henson and the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles. Originally conceived at Haifa University, Planet Egg was developed in the St. Ann's Warehouse's Puppet Lab 2010-2011, and shown at the Lab's Labapalooza! Festival (A TimeOut New York Critic's Pick) in June 2011. In August 2011, an expanded version was presented at the International Puppetry Theater and Film Festival in Holon, Israel, and again in the fall of 2011 at New York's Dixon Place. Planet Egg performed as part of the Spring Artist Lodge at HERE over Easter weekend, 2012, and most recently was rated the "Pick of the Fringe" in the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington DC, July 2012. www.puppetcinema.com.
