Looking for something fun to do after work or on the weekends? Whether you are a beginner or an advanced home chef, our interactive Honolulu & Oahu cooking classes aim to make you a pro in your own kitchen. Learn how to create an amazing dinner party menu, cook a great meal for your friends and family, and increase your cooking knowledge. Come alone, with friends, or bring a date for an exciting culinary adventure! Pacific Gourmet Cooking Classes offer a wide variety of cooking courses in Hawaii, covering regional cuisines (France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Mexico, and clever twists on American staples) as well as themed classes (Sunday brunch, hors d'oeuvres, elegant diner parties, and cheese). Our culinary classes explore the many ways geography and culture play roles in regional cuisine. We also offer wine paring suggestions for our meals. Our group cooking classes in Hawaii are conveniently located in downtown Honolulu at the YWCA at 1040 Richards Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Each cooking lesson holds a maximum of 15 students, is hands-on & interactive, and includes recipes for everything made in class. At the end of each class, we enjoy the complete meal we've prepared. Group cooking classes are open to EVERYBODY and last for approximately 2 1/2 hours (1 1/2 hours of instruction and 1 hour to eat). The cost is $48 per person and includes instruction, printed recipes, and all food. Please see our calendar for a schedule of culinary classes and descriptions. Our instructors are professionally trained chefs who will show you step by step how to create a fantastic meal. Our head instructor, Chef Laura, is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about great food. She is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, where she received degrees with honors in advanced cuisine and advanced pastry. Chef Laura has worked as a manager and chef at some of San Francisco's top restaurants, catering companies, and hotels. She has catered events to an impressive list of clients including George Lucas, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alice Waters, Tiffany & Co., and the San Francisco Ballet.
