 Minako began photograpghy while racing sailboats in college. Inspired by the ocean and determined to capture its natural beauty, she borrowed her first Minolta SLR camera from her mentor Shigeru
Taguchi. With traditional slide film, she developed a remarkable eye for capturing amazing colors. Today she shoots both film and digital, upon request.
 She worked for eight years as a Senior Business Analyst for Sony Corporation based in both Tokyo and Miami. This strong business background Êis an added bonus, as Minako delivers high quality photographs in a prompt and professional manner. For Sony, she traveled extensively throughout North America, South America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Her many experiences in different cultures has been a great influence upon her shooting style.
Her photographs have appeared in international, national, and Hawaii publications. Her flip book "Girls' Day/Boys' Day" (ISBN: 978-1-57306-274-9), is a multicultural educational picture book for children, published in February 2007 by Bess Press. Her extensive skills are showcased in her documentary photography and commercial photography, as well as her ability to capture beautifully composed portraits and wedding scenes. |
